‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Teaser: New Trailer Dropped At Super Bowl Spot; See First Glimpse Of Planet Sovereign & Ayesha [VIDEO]
One of the trailers that has been seen at the Super Bowl spot is "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" The newly dropped teaser from Marvel was set to Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" while featuring the adventure of the much-loved superheroes.
The 59-seconder "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" teaser showed the return of the Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Zaldana), Drax (Dave Bautista) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper). Also, fans will get to see Yondu (Michael Rooker), Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) along with the returning heroes and, of course, Baby Groot (Vin Diesel).
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will pick up two months after the events of the 2014 original movie, The Verge reported. This will be the first time that the movie enthusiasts will see Marvel Studios logo in purple color compared to the usual red tone.
According to Slash Film, this might be an implication that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is a little weirder than other Marvel films. Hence, people behind the film may intentionally make the logo purple.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer also showed the first glimpse of the planet Sovereign. By the looks of it, viewers can't deny the power it holds with its centered golden throne.
The one seated on the golden throne is Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), the high priestess of the Sovereign and the main villain of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." The new baddie hired the Guardians to manage the huge galactic beast called the Abilisk. This creature is trying to devour all the planet's power source and the superheroes have to do everything to stop it.
As part of the deal, they have to release Nebula, who the Guardians want to bring back to Zandar. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Debicki teased that everything is going "swimmingly until it all turns very very sour" in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." "Let's just say it goes from amiable to not-so-amiable quite quickly," she added.
