Asus ZenFone 4 Rumors, Specs, & Features Revealed On GFXBench: Snapdragon 820, 6GB RAM & More [Video]
Asus is reportedly planning to unveil its next-gen ZenFone 3 successor, dubbed the ZenFone 4, in the coming months. Now the Asus ZenFone 4 has been surfaced on a benchmarking site and offers a peek into the specs of the imminent handset.
The GXFBench listing for the Asus ZenFone 4 has been shared by the The Android Soul. According to the GFXBench listing, the Asus ZenFone 4 is said to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. The smartphone will be equipped by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, clocked at 2.1GHz and will also support 6 GB of RAM.
Asus ZenFone 4 is listed as housing 64 GB of on-board storage and come with pre-loaded Android 7.0 Nougat. The Asus smartphone is also listed having a 21MP primary camera, as well as an 8MP front shooter, according to Tech Times
This is not the first time when details pertaining to the Asus ZenFone 4 have surfaced online. Older rumors point to the handset touting a smaller 5.2-inch FHD display with a 4850 mAh battery. In January, an Asus device that sported the model number X00GD was also spotted on TENAA, the Chinese equivalent of FCC.
Given the battery size of the model on TENAA, it was believed to be a mid-range smarphone in the Asus ZenFone 4 lineup. The listed smartphone also sported an octa-core Snapdragon processor which was clocked at 1.5 GHz. The X00GD was said to boast 2 GB of RAM or 4 GB of RAM. This smartphone also rumored to feature a 12MP primary camera.
The previous leaked specs for the ZenFone 4 do not match the latest benchmark revelations. However some reports suggest that the new spec hint that the smartphone listed on GFXBench might not be the Asus ZenFone 4, but the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. According to BGR, considering the Asus' tradition, the company is again likely to launch multiple variants of the Asus Zenfone 4 with similar names.
In the coming days we will get to hear more about Asus latest offering. It is highly doubtful that Asus ZenFone 4 will be announced at the MWC, the end of the second quarter seems much more credible. We are absolutely excited to see what other specs and features will Asus equip its new high-end smartphone with.
