Nintendo NES Classic Edition Re-Stock News Update: Available At Amazon, Target & Walmart [Video]
The highly demanded Nintendo NES Classic Edition's stock has been vanished several times since its launch. But currently several stores, including both online and in-store, have re-stocked the item since last Friday.
According to an I4DU report, at least three sellers are still having the NES Classic Edition re-issue in-stock, which are Amazon, Target, and Walmart. The price for each Nintendo NES Classic Mini ranges from $100 to $130 that does not includes shipping as of Friday night. This might looks like a lot of money to pay for a console which has a Retail Price of $60, however, some fans are willing to pay the extra money also to get their hands on the console.
Meanwhile, two of Target's outlets in California have stocks of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. The Culver City Target store reportedly has the six pieces available while the Hawthorne branch has three of the consoles available. I4DU report also showed that Walmart stores still have the console's in-stock as well, but the inventory was starting to go down with around 10% left. It also mentioned GameStop, Best Buy and ToysRUs, who are having no re-stock as of this time.
According to GameRant, the hackers have discovered a way to install the RetroArch emulation software on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. This software allows gamers to play Game Boy, Super Nintendo (SNES) and Sega Genesis games on the device. This is going to create even bigger interest on the said console.
The Nintendo has re-issue NES Classic Edition towards the end of November last year, and immediately sold out on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and other retailers, because it was a major hit during the holiday season. The console has said to sell around 1.5 million units as of February 2017, and the number is projected to go higher. Reseller prices range from $60 to as high as $300. The buyers get the mini version of the classic console plus 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Kirby's Adventure.
