Nintendo Switch Pre Order: Some Retailers Not Cancelling Orders Despite Report; Amazon Prime Members Get Big Discount For “The Legend Of Zelda”
Nintendo Switch pre-order is reported to have been cancelled due to an overwhelming response of gamers. Major retailers addressed the issue and some assured buyers of stock availability. Amazon Prime members can get a special discount for one of the highly anticipated games of the year, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."
Nintendo Switch pre-order was briefly available at Best Buy website last week, but the game console sold out quickly. Instead, it has a list of participating stores nearby and an option to notify the gamers once the Japanese console is available. Best Buy is open until midnight on March 3 when the portable game system is released.
Nintendo Switch is listed as coming soon at Target and gamers. For pre-orders, gamers can add the game console in their registry or list. Meanwhile, Walmart and Toys "R" Us has an option for the gamers to be notified once the new console is available.
GameStop halted Nintendo Switch pre-order when they ran out of allocation. However, the retailer resumed a week after.
According to a report by Express, GameStop has not and will not be cancelling Nintendo Switch pre-order due to allocation issues. The store's representative said that if any customer should encounter the problem with their pre-order, they should contact guest care team to resolve the issue.
Nintendo Switch comes in with one of the most anticipated games of the year, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Amazon Prime members can get 20 percent discount off the retail price of $59.99.
According to The Verge, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will have two DLC packs for the year. The upcoming game will also have a series of downloadable add-ons worth $19.99 which will be available on the launch date of Nintendo Switch.
