‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 4 Spoilers: L.M.D. Arc To End Next Week; Human-Like Robots Have Infiltrated The Spy Agency
The second arc of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4, dubbed as L.M.D. (Life Model Decoy), is coming to an end. After its seven episodes run, L.M.D. has now been confirmed to conclude on season 4, episode 15, titled as "Self Control," next week.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." co-creator and co-showrunner, Jed Whedon, made the announcement in his interview with IGN last Wednesday, and revealed that he will take the director's chair in season 4, episode 15 "Self Control." This will be Whedon's debut in directing a television series episode.
Whedon recalled some of his favorite moments while directing "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" season 4, episode 15. But the one that really stands out to him was when he got to work hands-on with everyone else on the set.
Both Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennet, who are playing as Agents Phil Coulson and Daisy "Quake" Johnson, respectively, have praised Whedon on his "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." directorial debut. The former thought Whedon being there was amazing, while Bennet admitted that she was "overwhelmingly relieved" to have him sitting in the director's chair.
In "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4, episode 15 "Self Control," the human-like robots have now entered the spy agency. "Suspicion turns to paranoia when the team doesn't know who can be trusted as more LMDs infiltrate SHIELD," the official synopsis reads.
Unfortunately, the production has yet to release any official word as to what is the next arc of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4, considering that the show has always featured 22 episodes per season as its standard, Screenrant reported. Some think that The Superior may take center stage in the next arc and will probably play as the main antagonist before the fourth season wraps up.
Bennet, however, teased the fans later last month that the third arc of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 will blow "everyone's mind." Further saying during her talk with ET Online that it will be "very different" and "very relevant."
More news about the matter should emerge in the coming weeks. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4, episode 15 "Self Control" is now set to air on Feb. 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
