Google has been reportedly considering the Nexus 6P lineup, which was due fading out by Google with limited security updates. However, Google is continuing to release security updates for Nexus 6P, and its owners have every right to be excited. Nexus 6P security update is to arrive this week, in March. With a size of 39MB, this patch is stamped with the build number N4F26T, and is scheduled to roll out starting March 7.

Nexus 6P security update will be rolled out in three stages. The first phase would consist of 10,000 units and this will be receiving the security update till March 10. The second phase would include another 10 percent that would be chosen on the succeeding days from the 4th day till the 13th day, as reported by GSMARENA.

Many U.S. carriers have reported that Nexus 6P security updates would be released by this Tuesday. Other devices that receive Google updates directly would also get updated.

The Nexus 6P security updates would make certain changes in the kernel of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat, on which it is running currently. The devices that have been enlisted for the Android 7.1.2 Beta will not be receiving the March security update. Google has been keen on releasing a patch regularly for more than one year. This is mainly due to the vulnerabilities of the Android OS.

Besides this, many reports are coming in for Google Pixel 2017, popularly known as the Pixel 2. The Internet giant would be releasing a new iteration of the highly accredited Pixel phone. Nexus 7, which is the reiteration of the first tablet of Google released way back in 2012, would also be released this year. The new tablet is also called Pixel 7, and not Nexus 7.

Previous reports also suggest that the upcoming tablet will not be called Nexus anymore. Google has already started the Pixel brand last year and the rumored slate is said to be named Pixel 7. Moreover, it is speculated that it would be running on the Andromeda OS, which is a combination of Android and Chrome OS.

Google Nexus 7, or the Pixel 7, is rumored to come with a QHD resolution display and a 3000 mAh battery.
