'American Idol' Wedding VIDEO; Former Contestants Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo Marry
Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo of American Idol married on June 1 in Los Angeles.
The pair both were on the reality singing competition although in different seasons; DeGarmo appeared in season 3 while Young was on season 5. While they may have both put their musical talent up to the vote of America, DeGarmo and Young did not meet until they both played a part in Broadways Hair in 2010, according to Reality TV .
When the season finale of American Idol season 11 rolled around in the spring of 2012, the couple appeared on air for Young's proposal.
The wedding took place at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard hotel and was officiated by Fred Bronson, according to People. The Young and the Restless star wore a Sareh Nouri gown and Ace of Cakes' Duff Goldman whipped up the wedding cake.
"This was the best way to start the chapter of my life as Mrs. Young," the 25-year-old DeGarmo said, according to the magazine. "I'm over the moon with joy and happiness about our wonderful wedding. I can't wait to spend my life with my husband!"
Not only did the talented couple write their own vows, but they also put together "I Do," the song that played during their first dance.
"Today was the best day of my life," 32-year-old Young said. "Diana and I are in it forever. She's my best friend."
