HMD Global is now the new home of Nokia phones, and rightly so. The company has been very successful in bringing back the Nokia name so far, and Nokia 6 is a prime example of that. Boasting of killer looks and mid-ranged hardware along with an untouched version of the Android Nougat right out of the box, the Nokia 6 is a go-to phone for many people in the world right now. Moreover, Nokia 8 rumors are flying in as well, as Nokia seems to be planning big for its top of the line flagship model.

The Nokia 8 release date is not yet known. It was speculated that the company would be showing the device in MWC this year, but ever since the MWC, Nokia has postponed the Nokia 8's release date. It is presumed that Nokia will be unveiling the Nokia 8 at a press event in the coming months.

The Galaxy S8 hasn't been launched as well, and it was teased in the MWC this year. Samsung plans to launch it in late April or early May, according to some reports. Nokia 8 rumors suggest that when the smartphone is released, it will go head-to-head against the Galaxy S8 and its variants. This might be a good thing or a bad thing, considering that Nokia has already warmed up the market with Nokia 6.

Other Nokia 8 rumors and speculations indicate that the phone would be a flagship with top of the line hardware, according to BGR. The phone may come with a SnapDragon 835 SoC with at least 4GB of RAM and upto 256GB of on board storage. Other speculations include a 2.5D 4K resolution display, a massive 22.3 Carl Zeiss lens camera, and also a big battery.

The Nokia 8 rumors surrounding the smartphone's price indicate that the phone would be priced less than most Android flagships, and certainly less than the Galaxy S8. Nokia 8 has a good chance to capture the markets of Galaxy S8, since Nokia is providing a pure Android Nougat experience with promises to update it as soon as Google releases successive updates to the Nougat framework.

Only time would tell how Nokia 8 would fare. Stay tuned for more Nokia 8 rumors and updates.
