The formerly invincible SonicFox has finally been defeated in the hands of the Dragon at the recently concluded "Mortal Kombat X" Final Round 20 Grand Finals. The surprising victory was, of course, an unexpected one as the majority of fans had their eye on the long-time tournament favorite, SonicFox, to bag the crown. Final Round 20 was a grand event for fans as it will be one of the last big majors for "Mortal Kombat X."

SonicFox from team FOX has been consistent in his reign all throughout the different "Mortal Kombat X" competitions. He has been winning the majority of the big tournaments ever since the fighting video game was launched back in 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. However, SonicFox's total reign was cut short by the young champ, Dragon, who defeated SonicFox in a close 3 to 2 set in the finals.

Having won against SonicFox in the fourth week of the tournament, the fan favorite was unceremoniously thrown into the losers bracket, which eventually led him to win third place overall, as per the results on Smash.GG. Second place was taken by his teammate Scar. Dragon from team Noble fought valiantly in the final rounds and defeated Scar in an exciting win that was met with cheers from fans in attendance during the tournament.

According to Event Hubs, Dragon has had a lot of near wins in the past but was always shy of winning the top prize. After two years of loyally joining in the big tournaments, the young player has now finally tasted victory. Dragon took out SonicFox's Triborg and Scar's Kitana through complex sequences that were timed just perfectly to land him the health bar advantage in the different rounds.

While it was exciting to see SonicFox take on Scar during the final rounds, the best fight overall would have to be between SonicFox and Dragon. Unlike previous fights, where SonicFox would mostly dominate the rounds, his fight with Dragon was almost too close to call and finally ended with a poetic win.
