Ellen DeGeneres, Portia De Rossi News: Talk Show Host Blames 2 Glasses Of Wine For Hospitalization
Ellen DeGeneres was brought to the hospital by wife Portia De Rossi due to a minor accident. The incident was thought to be caused by drinking two glasses of wine.
Ellen DeGeneres showed up in her self-titled show with a dislocated finger. She and wife Portia De Rossi were having a couple of drinks at a dinner party. "I broke my finger. I know what you're thinking," she said on her show.
Ellen DeGeneres went on to joke about gymnasts doing a one-handed cartwheel and having to spread one's weight evenly on the fingers. However, Portia De Rossi's partner later blamed it to the wine. "Well, I had two glasses of wine and fell into a door."
Their dogs were so excited to see them. Ellen DeGeneres then caught the lip of the top step and fell into the door. Portia De Rossi drove the comedian talk show host to the nearest emergency room for an X-ray according to US Magazine.
Ellen DeGeneres shared a photo of her dislocated finger on Twitter. Fortunately, the doctors were able to snap her finger back into place, and she later returned home with Portia De Rossi.
"It was a hard weekend for me, but I put on a brave face and I made it through," she joked. Ellen DeGeneres promised she is going to watch her steps carefully next time. Good thing, Portia De Rossi was there to assist the 59-year-old producer.
The couple has faced a lot of rumors about their marriage on the rocks over trivial issues. Recently, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi were reported to be seeking counseling to save their marriage. According to Life and Style Magazine, one of their therapies is going out on dates more often. Hence, the couple is seen to be going out frequently lately according to the source of the magazine.
