'Baby Driver' Latest News & Updates: Film Should Have Been Released Long Time Ago? Edgar Wright Speaks on History
"Baby Driver" may just be the flick that people need to add high-octane action to the various hype of today's films-may it be superheroes, monsters or fairy tales that come to life. Not only does it come with an all-star cast, but a rather interesting story to go with it.
According to The Verge, "Baby Driver" hoists up once again the already wonderful career of Ansel Elgort, the lead of the teen drama flick "The Fault in Our Stars," as well as being in the "Divergent" series. With the upcoming action film, Elgort is given a new image that puts him slightly away from the genre he is known for, a skilled driver who suffered an accident as a kid that caused him to utilize headphones and music.
Elgort's character Baby is being used as a chauffeur for a group of outlaws led by Kevin Spacey. The rest of the group include high-profile names such as Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, and Eiza Gonzalez. It is worth noting that Baby, even while working alongside crooks, is not a bad guy himself as he wishes to simply get one last job done before he leaves their group for good and get back to being with his new-found girl, Lily James, who wants the same for the "Baby Driver" lead.
As per Screen Rant, the creation of "Baby Driver" goes a number of years back, according to Edgar Wright. Being behind the likes of "Shaun of the Dead," "The World's End" and "Hot Fuzz," the English writer and director said that his ideas have occurred to him for two decades, and is primarily driven by the right music to go with the film, as well as the proper timing to release it. Even after many years, the idea has not left Wright and he now believes that it serves as one of his most appraisable works.
"Baby Driver" shows to the general audience by August 11, 2017. Stay posted for more news and updates.
