Malia Obama Seen Dating With Mystery Guy; Man's Identity Now Revealed
Malia Obama made noise as she was recently spotted wandering the streets of New York City with a mystery guy. As a lot wonder who this man is, of course, the paparazzi now know the identity of the daughter of Barack Obama's date.
According to TMZ, the guy Malia was with was Rob Franklin from Atlanta, Georgia. He is a 23-year-old graduate of Stanford University in 2015 and now working for the website Artsy.
As rumor has it, Malia and Rob have met at the Men's Fashion Week event in February. From here, the two started dating. However, friends of the Michelle Obama's daughter and the mystery guy revealed that they were "strictly platonic."
From the captured photos of Malia and Rob, they were evidently having fun while strolling by the boutiques of SoHo. She was seen smiling, giggling and laughing while talking to Rob. But, it looked like they have a chaperone as they were accompanied by another woman.
Moreover, Rob's LinkedIn page indicated that he has worked with BuzzFeed, NPR and Half Moon Bay for his multimedia internships. Malia, on the other hand, is in NYC for her spring internship at the Weinstein film company.
By the looks of it, Malia and Rob share the same interest in arts and media. In fact, although she is only 18 years old, she already has impressive experiences in the entertainment industry. She played as an assisting crew member of HBO's "Girls" in 2015 and the sci-fi drama "Extant" led by Halle Berry, Vanity Fair reported.
Meanwhile, in November 2016, former President Barack revealed that they already allowed Malia and her younger sister Sasha to start dating. The 44th U.S. President unveiled that he and his wife Michelle have nothing to worry as they are surrounded by Secret Service agents. "They've had Secret Service. There's only so much these guys can do," he said.
