Paris Jackson Suicide Attempt; Micheal Jackson's Daughter Hospitalized After She Cut Wrist Multiple Times [VIDEO]
Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter Paris Jackson was reportedly taken to a local hospital earlier today following an attempted suicide.
A 911 call came in at 1:27 a.m. on Wednesday, according to TMZ. The site further reports that Paris was then taken by ambulance from her family's home in Calabasas, Calif. to a hospital and was suffering from cuts to her wrist.
"We received a call at 1:27 in the morning. We transported a patient to the hospital at 1:47," said a representative for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, according to Fox."We responded to a call of an overdose. That's the kind of call we got."
According to People Paris attempted suicide by cutting her wrist with a kitchen knife and then injesting 20 ibuprofen pills.
Recent tweets from the teen's account may give readers reason to worry about the pop star's daughter's mental health. Shortly before the incident Paris tweeted some of the lyrics to the Beatles song Yesterday.
"Yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay," the tweet read.
Shortly before that she tweeted, "I wonder why tears are salty?"
It was reported by a source who is familiar with the family that last night Paris was upset about not begin able to attend a Marilyn Manson concert, according to TMZ. The 15-year-old, who has been living with her grandmother Katherine Jackson since her father's death in 2009, was also supposed to testify at the trial for the wrongfull death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG later this month, according to the Daily News.
"Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you," stated a lawyer for Katherine Jackson, according to Fox. "Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention."
According to TMZ, the teen left a suicide note and is currently being held for 72 hours in compliance with a 5150 psychiatric hold.
