The old-time favorite Japanese manga series seems to never get old. "Sailor Moon," which debuted in Dec. 1991 is still a hit to many 90's kids and even with the current generation. Here are some things you didn't know about one of its most favorite casts, Sailor Jupiter.

Sailor Jupiter, or Makoto Kino in regular life, is a tough tomboy who's passionate about cooking and gardening. She's been one of the most admired characters because she embodies both the feminine and masculine qualities. Unknown to many, she has her own manga entitled "Mako's Depression."

"Mako's Depression" focuses on her heroism as she fights against the Genius loci known as "Touhi-chan." This short story also explains why Sailor Jupiter is afraid of airplanes. As Screen Rant reported, the Sailor Scout lost her parent in a plane accident. Since her parents departed, fans assumed that the reason why she can live independently is because her parents left her a huge fortune.

Because Sailor Jupiter is such an admirable character, several image songs and CDs talked about her. Meanwhile, another fictional character also adores her and unknown to many, the Sailor Scout had been engaged to Motoki Furuhata, a young worker at the Game Center Crown.

Her name as a regular person, Makoto, means "trust" and sincerity in Japanese. Obviously, this reflected her character pretty much. On the other hand, her heroic name, Jupiter, means "protection, courage, and thunder," as Movie Pilot suggested.

Sailor Jupiter's strength is no secret and this made her as the strongest member of the Sailor Moon team. In one of the episodes entitled "Paired with a Monster: Mako, the Ice Skating Queen," Makoto displayed a superhuman strength by lifting a male figure skater while being graceful in the ice skating rink at the same time.
