Ice Cube wants Denzel Washington to join second season of ‘Hip Hop Squares’
With "Hip Hop Squares" being renewed for the second season, its executive producer Ice Cube reveals the star he wants to join the show.
The television game show is known for bringing the biggest names in the hip-hop, comedy, and entertainment industry together to test their knowledge about pop culture and rap music. The 47-year-old rapper even called it as an entertaining TV as it shows the different side of the celebrity contestants.
According to People, Ice Cube's favorite guests in the reality game series are his fellow rapper T.T. and the comedian Michael Blackson. He even said that the Hip Hop artist already became as their foundation for being there in every episode. The "Meet the Blacks" star, on the other hand, completes the rapport for being crazy on the show.
Moreover, the second season of "Hip Hop Squares" will be graced by the likes of Teyana Taylor, Amber Rose, Mel B, Nelly, Karrueche Tran, Tyga and Adrienne Bailon. However, the "Straight Outta Compton" actor is dreaming of one star to be their contestant and that is Denzel Washington.
"If we could get Denzel on there, somebody people really don't get to see in that capacity, it'd be fun," he said. But as the show's executive producer, he will have a chance to add more stars that he pleases to the lineup.
Meanwhile, Variety reported that "Hip Hop Squares" first episode is recorded as VH1's highest-rated premiere in more than a year. The president of the said network, MTV, and Logo Chris McCarthy even said that it has smashed TV rating records for being the most watch new series of the year.
"We couldn't ask for a better creative force to steer the show than Ice Cube or a better partner than CBS Distribution, and we are thrilled to keep this party going," he proudly disclosed. Alternatively, Ice Cube was touched for the incredible experience for the positive response the show received.
