Bandai Namco is slated to launch another RPG game next year entitled "Code Vein."

According to Crunchyroll, it was just last week when Bandai Namco teased its fans with a new project with an animated video and the "Prepare to Dine" tagline. Now, the said game has been revealed as "Code Vein." It is a third-person action-RPG from the "God Eater" team, which included producer Keita Iizuka, director Hiroshi Yoshimura, and project lead Yusuke Tomizawa.

The players of "Code Vein" will take the role of a Revenant, fighters who can improve their skills by draining the blood of their foes through the devices known as Blood Veils. These capabilities or what is called "Gifts" in the game can be utilized to increase their strength, weaken enemies, and apply overpowered assaults and new weapon drills.

Moreover, Siliconera has noted that the main characteristic of "Code Vein" is "Buddy." This will let the players take one partner while discovering dungeons. Revenants mostly utilized great swords, single-handed swords, and other close-ranged weaponries during the battle. Aside from the mentioned arms, the gamers could also use spears and hammers.

The news outlet also mentioned some of the terms that should be noted. The first one is Blood Veil, an equipment that is exclusive to the Revenant and is used to suck up blood from the Lost. While it was in use, it seems a form of clothing which also functions as armor. When used to suck up blood, it utilizes a mechanism for the purpose and a change in the user's mask is observed as well.

The other one is Special Ability: Blood Smelting which is an action that becomes possible after obtaining blood from the Lost. This will let the players to power themselves up, debuff opponents, do direct attacks, and other functions.

Bandai Namco also reveals that the "Code Vein" development is currently 35% complete and a new trailer is expected to be seen in the future. The video game is expected to become available sometime next year.
