Jennifer Garner Calls Out People Magazine For False Accusations in Cover Story of Life After Ben Affleck Breakup
For Jennifer Garner, not all publicity is good publicity. The 13 Going on Thirty actress released a statement on Wednesday via Facebook claiming that she did not participate in People magazine's latest cover story that focuses on her divorce from Ben Affleck.
"It has been brought to my attention that there is a People magazine cover and article out today that appear to be coming from me," Garner posted. "It isn't unusual for me to receive calls from loved ones thinking I forgot to tell them I am pregnant--with twins!--(Geez Louise), but those are so ridiculous they're easy to ignore."
The 45-year-old actress and proud mom continued, "I did not pose for this cover. I did not participate in or authorize this article," she shared. "While we are here, for what it's worth: I have three wonderful kids and my family is complete."
Garner and Affleck have been divorced since mid-April after being married for 10 years. The former couple filed for joint legal and physical custody of their children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
A spokesperson from People addressed the issue in a statement claiming their story is truthful, "People covers Hollywood stars beloved by our audience, and our story on Jennifer Garner is fair and truthful. To be clear, it does not include rumors and does not say she's pregnant. We wish her well."
