On Monday morning at 8 a.m., a disgruntled fired employee returned to his Orlando workplace and opened fire to his previous co-workers. Armed with a handgun and a knife, the 45-year-old man killed four workers at the scene, three men and one woman, before he killed himself. Another man was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital. Seven other workers survived the incident, however, the man's identity has not been released.

He had been working for Fiamma Inc., an RV accessory business, when he was fired back in April. In the past, he already had a record from three years ago for a violent incident that occurred at the same workplace. Thus far, any connection to terrorism has been ruled out.

"We have no indication that this person is a participant in any type of terror organization," Orlando County Sheriff, Jerry Demings, shared in a statement.

Demings elaborated that the police received a call at 8:03 a.m. and the police were at the scene within three minutes.

Investigations are still going on and the survivors of the tragedy have been interviewed by police and more details are expected to emerge.

"Over the past year, the Orlando community has been challenged like never before," Florida Governor Rick Scott shared in a statement. "I ask all Floridians to pray for the families impacted by this senseless act of violence," Scott said.

This incident brings back heartache from the major Pulse nightclub shooting, which took place last year. The shooting claimed the lives of 50 individuals, including the shooter who was killed by police.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families involved in the tragedy.
