Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith Are 'Denying' Giving Tyrese Money
Tyrese Gibson recently claimed that close friends and fellow actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith donated $5 million to help him stay afloat during the bitter custody battle between him and his ex-wife, Norma.
Sources are now stating that this may not be true.
According to TMZ, the Smith's are denying giving Tyrese any money and are very concerned about his mental health. For the past few months, Gibson has been very vocal on social media about everything he's been dealing with. From losing custody of his 11-year-old daughter, Shayla, to his one-sided feud with Fast and Furious co-star, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson; the singer has not held back about his feelings towards any of it.
Gibson's ex-wife accused the singer of abusing and severely beating their daughter and filed for full custody of Shayla, stating that she feared Gibson would take their daughter and leave the country. Gibson has denied all allegations against him and has since been fighting to win his daughter back. Gibson checked himself into the hospital after the first day of the custody hearing. He also vented on his Instagram in a deleted video the fear he had of losing his only child.
The silver lining in all of this seem to have come when the Prior To You singer posted on Instagram that the Seven Pounds actor stepped in and saved the day by helping Gibson out.
"When we show UP for each-other there's nothing that can't be done repeat nothing...... My wife kept the news away from me cause I've been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat- You've guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid ! will listen..... The Smiths's and their whole family has always shown up for The Gibson's Uncle Will you're an uncle for real", Gibson posted on Instagram.
Sources close to the Smith family are implying that what Gibson said is 'simply not true' and their 'concerned' for his well-being.
Gibson has yet to respond to this new information.
According to Page Six, the charges against the singer have been dropped so if in fact the Smith's didn't help Gibson out, he may still be a step closer in getting his daughter back.
