Sofia Richie's Dad Lionel Approves Of Scott Disick Romance?
Sofia Richie's new boyfriend, Scott Disick, may be 15 years older than she is, but according to her, her father, musician Lionel Richie, is completely supportive of the pairing.
Just months into Richie and Disick's romance, which they continue to flaunt around the world, the model spoke out about her father's thoughts on their relationship, revealing that Lionel has been supportive of all aspects of her life.
“He’s good. He’s been very nice," Richie said of her father. "He’s been very cool. He’s very supportive, whatever that means.”
Richie and Disick were first linked to one another earlier this year but they didn't officially confirm the rumors of their potential romance until September, around the time Disick's ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian went public with her boyfriend, Younes Bendjima. Since then, Disick has been doting over his younger flame from Europe to Mexico.
“Scott and Sofia are doing it all in Italy, from gondola rides to romantic dinners and even shopping sprees,” a source close to the Kardashians told Hollywood Life. “And Scott’s been picking up the tab everywhere, he won’t let Sofia spend a dime. She’s got plenty of money but he loves playing the sugar daddy role.”
“Since they started dating he’s been hemorrhaging money trying to impress her,” the insider said. “It’s got Kourtney pretty furious because he never treated her that way. When they were together he always let her pay. She doesn’t want Scott back but she’s not enjoying seeing him spoil Sofia like this.”
Disick and Kardashian parted ways in 2015 after Disick was spotted getting cozy with Richie's friend, Chloe Bartoli, who he dated prior to his nine-year romance Kardashian. The split was highly covered on Keeping Up With the Kardashians years ago and during recent seasons of the show, the former couple has been seen attempting to co-parent their children as they both enjoy new romances.
Prior to Disick, Richie was linked for a couple of months to Justin Bieber.
