Chelsea Houska Discuss Troubled Ex-Boyfriend Adam Lind During 'Teen Mom 2' Reunion
Chelsea Houska and her co-stars will be appearing in the first half of the Teen Mom 2 season eight reunion later tonight and during the show, Houska will be seen addressing the tension between her troubled ex-boyfriend, Adam Lind, and their daughter, 8-year-old Aubree.
In a recently released sneak peek at the upcoming episode, Houska is seen sitting down with longtime reunion host Dr. Drew Pinsky. After watching a clip of their daughter struggling to cope with her father's absence while continuing to get close to Houska's husband, Cole DeBoer, Houska admits that it has been hard to manage her daughter's emotions.
"I mean, it's sad and it is hard because you want to sugar coat it but you don't want to lie to them," Houska explained to Dr. Pinsky during a sneak peek at tonight's new episode.
Houska and Lind used to share custody of their daughter but after Lind began running into legal drama and alleged drug issues, his time with Aubree became more limited. Meanwhile, Houska got married to DeBoer, who Aubree absolutely loves, and during the last season, DeBoer was seen taking his step-daughter to a father-daughter dance at her school.
"She's old enough now where I feel there is an age-appropriate way to explain to her. I just say to her, 'Daddy doesn't always make the best decisions and because of that, right now it has to be supervised or someone has to be there for your visits,'" Houska continued.
While Houska has thought about telling Aubree of her father's alleged struggles with drug abuse, she has yet to do so and isn't planning on having any specific conversation with her in the near future.
"Honestly, I haven't gotten into the drug thing yet," she admitted.
"In a perfect world he would get better and be a good dad and I could trust him," she added.
Houska was dating Lind when she starred on 16 & Pregnant and welcomed her first child. Since then, she has been appearing on Teen Mom 2. After marrying DeBoer in October of last year, Houska welcomed her second child, son Watson.
