Tyrese Gibson Speaks: 'For Those Of You Who Counted Me Out..That's Cool'
Tyrese Gibson has been the subject of public scrutiny since allegations were made against him by his ex-wife, Norma Gibson. Norma alleged that the singer abused their only daughter, Shayla, and has since filed a temporary restraining order against him. Gibson has taken to social media to vent his frustrations about the situation between him and the mother of his child, who he claimed was 'jealous' of his new marriage.
Tyrese was also feuding with costar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, after it was confirmed that Johnson would be starring in a Fast and Furious spin-off, with Jason Statham. Gibson felt that by Johnson agreeing to do this, it will 'hurt' the Fast family and franchise. Gibson harassed and berated Johnson via social media and distanced himself from his former friend. Recently, Gibson stated that the one-sided battle between the two had subsided and Gibson hasn't spoken a word about Johnson since.
Because of all these dramatic occurrences and how Gibson chose to handle them, many people began to speculate the state of the singer's mental health. After it was reported that Gibson falsely claimed that friends and actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith lent him $5 million, fans began to worry about the Sweet Lady singer. Gibson's ex wife is also citing her 'concerns' about her former spouse after he left the country instead of visiting his daughter, who he's been vigorously fighting to get back. Norma's lawyer has already spoken to the judge about subjecting Gibson to a mental evaluation.
Gibson did state that a medication he was prescribed to take by his doctor was the reason for his erratic behavior and that he stopped taking the drug after seeing the side-effects it had on him. Now, Gibson is once again taking to social media to clap back at everyone who had something negative to say about him.
"For those of you who counted me out.......... that's cool........ Clearly you can't count, that Capricorn bounce back spirit is very real...... Seeds can't grow until their #buried deep in the ground - I made some choices and certain choices were made that tried to bury me......... I feel better, stronger and blessed and look forward to many many great things," the singer captioned in a recent Instagram post.
What does Gibson have planned? The singer is releasing a new album, Identity Theft, sometime soon and is set to reprise his of Roman Pearce in the ninth Fast and Furious Film. He also claimed that his wife Samantha is expecting their first child together.
Hopefully, whatever the star is working on helps him cope with everything he's going through.
Tyrese is scheduled to appear in court again this month.
