Yolanda Hadid Opens Up About Bella Hadid's Anxiety Struggles
Yolanda Hadid's daughter, Bella Hadid, may be at the top of her game when it comes to her modeling career but behind closed doors, she's coping with a couple of major issues.
Years after Bella went public with her Lyme disease battle, her mother, who previously starred on Bravo TV's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has confirmed that the 21-year-old is also facing anxiety issues.
“Bella suffers from anxiety. She goes through times where … she doesn’t like her body because she gained five pounds, or [she’s] too skinny. All this stuff that kids go through,” Yolanda revealed to Us Weekly on Jan. 11. “We’re all in the same game, and we all deal with that stuff."
Following her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda teamed up with Lifetime TV for a new series, Making a Model With Yolanda Hadid, which premiered last night. On the show, Yolanda is seen bringing her expertise as a model and a mother of models to several young girls who hope to make it in the industry.
Speaking of Bella's personal struggles, Yolanda said that tons of people, including Kendall Jenner, face personal hardships and what is truly important is that everyone is the best versions of themselves.
Throughout her new series, both of Yolanda's model daughters, including Gigi and Bella, will be seen.
“Gigi was on a photo shoot with them [for] her collection with Tommy Hilfiger. So, she was kind of guiding the girls on set, teaching them that it’s not really all about posing. It’s about bringing out the core of who you are,” Yolanda explained.
As for Bella, Yolanda said that her youngest daughter helped the girls on a more personal level as they struggled with insecurities while filming the show. As she revealed, Bella told the girls that she too feels insecure at times but has learned to push herself despite her struggles.
In other Bella Hadid news, the model was recently linked to Los Angeles Lakers player Jordan Clarkson. As fans will recall, Hadid split from her boyfriend of two years, The Weeknd, in Nov. 2016 and was later linked to Drake.
