Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will have to do his "GTL" behind bars.

According to TMZ, Sorrentino agreed to plead guilty in his tax evasion case in New Jersey.

The reality star allegedly failed to pay his full tax bill on $8.9 million in earnings made between 2010 and 2012.

In April 2017, it was reported that Sorrentino alongside his brother Marc was indicted on tax invasion charges, structuring and falsifying records.

The government also claims that the two deposited cash into different bank accounts to avoid reporting income to the IRS, as well as inflating their business expenses for high-end cars and clothing.

Sorrentino and his brother created businesses such as MPS Entertainment LLC and Situation Nation Inc. to exploit Sorrentino's celebrity status.

The indictment alleges that the reality star hid cash income, evaded his 2011 income taxes and filed a false return for his clothing line Situation Nation.

Sorrentino later revealed that he intentionally filed fraudulent returns to make it look like he was all good with the IRS.

If convicted the former Jersey Shore star would face up to 15 years in prison, and his brother would face up to 25 years.

Although the plea is part of a deal that will be entered in court this Friday, Sorrentino initially rejected it last week.

'Jersey Shore' Reboot

In November 2017, it was reported that the Jersey Shore cast would reunite for a reboot of the popular series. The new series will be called Jersey Shore: Family Reunion and is set to premiere some time this year.

Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, "Pauly D" Delvecchio, VInny Guadagino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Nicole Cortese will reunite in Miami for the reboot. As Sorrentino faces possible jail time, he will still be able to join his cast members.

Fans of the reality show will be disappointed to know that Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola will not be joining her former castmates. In an interview with Us Weekly, Giancola's former co-star, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, stated that she hoped Giancola would pop in on set.

"Yeah it's gonna be different. I wish she would be on it but I understand why she's not going to be on it," Farley said.

Farley believes that Giancola is refusing to join the cast because she wants to stay out of the limelight and possibly avoid her ex-boyfriend, Ortiz-Magro. Audiences probably remember the pair's tumultuous relationship throughout the seasons of Jersey Shore. The two are currently in relationships and Ortiz-Magro will be expecting his first child with his girlfriend, Jen Harley.

While fans await the premiere of the new Jersey Shore special, some of the cast members have already shared photos of them back together on their Instagram.

On Thursday, Snooki took to her Instagram to share a photo of herself along with JWOWW and Deena.

"& we're off! Get ready for a wild season kids #JSFamilyReunion #JesusTakeTheWheel #ThisIsReallyHappening," Polizzi captioned photo.
