Nicole Eggert Speaks About Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Scott Baio On 'Megyn Kelly Today' Show
Actress Nicole Eggert stopped by the Megyn Kelly Today show to discuss the allegations she made against Happy Days star Scott Baio. Eggert alleged on her Twitter account that Baio sexually molested her during the production of the show, Charles in Charge, which both actors starred in.
Nicole's Story
The Baywatch star alleged that from the ages of 14 to 17, Baio sexually molested her. Eggert also claimed that the actor took her virginity. During the interview with host Megyn Kelly, Eggert recounted that the abuse happened after the two were in the actor's car and he "penetrated" her with his finger. Eggert claimed that the abuse began "repetitively" after that.
"The issue with him, is that he was our boss and he was also telling me, 'You can't telling anybody, this is illegal, I will go to jail, the show will be over, everyone will be sued. You will be out of a job, you will ruin everybody's life.' And it is scary and it's imitating, especially when you are that young," Eggert stated.
The actress elaborated that Baio was "playing on her emotions and hormones" while he physically assaulted her.
"More than ten times, more like probably once a week. And then on set, there was just a lot of groping, a lot of fondling, a lot of pulling me on his lap, trying to sneak kisses in the back, which other cast members saw."
"What my truth is, is that I wasn't ready to tell my story and for me it was always protecting the show and protecting that whole legacy that nothing happened there. That was my delusion and that was my cover-up always," the actress concluded.
Baio Reacts
Baio has denied Eggert's allegation in a video on his Facebook where he stated that the actress "seduced" him during their time on the show. Baio and Eggert did briefly date and slept together once; however, Baio stated that this happened when the show was over and Eggert was of age.
Baio also added that Eggert has made these claims since 2013, and has been served with two "cease and desist" letters.
The Joanie Loves Chachi star caught flak in the past for his undying support and loyalty to President Donald Trump. Baio also told several liberal celebrities to move to Canada if they were unhappy with Trump being president.
