Did Dakota Johnson Stir Up Drama Between Angelina Jolie And Jennifer Aniston At The 2018 Golden Globes?
Dakota Johnson may have caused a little controversy at the 2018 Golden Globes. The actress was spotted giving a fellow actress the "side eye" as another actress went on stage. This wouldn't have been a big deal if the other actresses involved weren't formerly engaged in one the biggest celebrity feuds and cheating scandals.
Johnson went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to ensure she wasn't trying to cause any problems.
Dakota's Innocent
In the awards show, Johnson was seen giving Angelina Jolie a funny look while Jennifer Aniston took the stage to present an award. The Fifty Shades star was questioned by Fallon about her perculiar expression during the gala.
"Jennifer Aniston was on stage talking and then here's you and you're just staring at Angelina Jolie's reaction," Fallon stated while pointing to the Instagram photo that showed the actress's expression.
Johnson tried to divert the attention from her by bringing up that it wasn't just her that looked intrigued by Jolie's reaction to Aniston.
"Yeah but so is Armie's wife. I'm not the only one, Elizabeth is like very blatantly looking at her. She's like, 'What is she gonna do?' And I was trying to be sly about it," Johnson claimed.
Johnson then rebuffed any drama she was trying to initiate and elaborated that she was actually looking at the Stranger Thing's cast, saying she's a big fan of the show.
Jolie and Aniston have not been seen at the same awards show since 2015. The two women never confirmed they were feuding; however, it was speculated that Jolie was the reason Aniston and Brad Pitt (whom Jolie married in 2014) chose to divorce.
Fifty Shades of Dakota
Johnson is currently getting ready for the grand premiere of the final Fifty Shades film, Fifty Shades Freed, which is slated to be released theatrically on Feb. 9. Johnson portrays the shy yet alluring Anastasia Grey, now the wife of multi-millionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). The film will follow the two newlyweds as they begin their new lives together; however, impending danger from Ana's former boss, as well as a surprise pregnancy, will test the couple's marriage.
The film is based on the best-selling book series.
Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson, Max Martini, Brant Daugherty, Arielle Kebbel, Fay Masterson, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford, Marcia Gay Harden, and Tyler Hoechlin also star in the film.
