Was LuAnn De Lesseps's Arrest Caught On Camera?
Luann de Lesseps finally has access to a number of items left at the scene of her Christmas Eve arrest weeks ago.
According to a new report, The Real Housewives of New York City star and her legal team are able to recover evidence left at the scene of her drunken arrest in the wee hours of the morning on Dec. 24, 2017, including the 52-year-old's phone, glasses, purse, and passport. However, while all that is fine and dandy and likely a big relief for De Lesseps, photos, audio, and video has also become available.
On Jan. 31. Radar Online obtained documents from a Palm Beach court that gave De Lesseps and her attorneys permission to “inspect, copy, test and photograph” items that have been kept in custody ever since the reality star was arrested.
As another Radar Online report revealed, De Lesseps was taken into custody in Palm Beach, Florida, after being accused of disorderly intoxication and violence against a cop at the Colony Hotel. In a police report at the time, De Lesseps was accused of being violent and making death threats after being caught in a hotel room that wasn't registered to her.
Police in Palm Beach are said to be in possession of audio recordings taken from jail and also have in-car video, likely from De Lesseps's ride to jail in the moments that followed her arrest.
During De Lesseps's upcoming court date, the defense will reportedly call four witnesses to testify against her, including a security guard from the hotel and four members of the Palm Beach Police Department.
After De Lesseps's arrest, the Real Housewives of New York City star released a statement on Twitter, confirming her plans to seek treatment for substance abuse in rehab.
"After the events of last Saturday night in Palm Beach, I am truly embarrassed," the statement said. "I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event."
"I sincerely apologize for my actions," De Lesseps added. "I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do."
