Can Justin Bieber's Mom Help Him Get On Selena Gomez's Mom's Good Side?
Justin Bieber wants to make amends with Selena Gomez's mom, Mandy Teefy, and hopes his own mom, Pattie Mallette, can assist him in doing so.
As fans of "Jelena" have surely heard, Teefy isn't happy about her daughter's reunion with Bieber, whom she accused of cheating on her numerous times years ago, but Bieber remains determined to prove himself worthy of their rekindled romance.
“Pattie sees all the good in Justin and he’s begged her to help Selena’s mom recognize that he’s not a bad guy,” a source told Radar Online. “He thinks that if Pattie met up with her and talked him up, it could really help to diffuse the situation.”
Bieber and his mother have been extremely close to one another in recent weeks and actually went on vacation together to the Maldives last month. On social media throughout their trip, Bieber and Mallette shared a number of photos and in the caption of one shared by Mallette, she spoke of how proud she was of her son.
According to the Radar Online report, Bieber knows that Gomez is the one for him and fully intends to get married to her someday. That said, he wants to get Gomez's mom on board with their relationship before he does.
“Justin is determined to marry Selena, but he wants her mom to finally accept him, too. It’s not going to be easy to convince her but he’s at least in a great place with Pattie, who will do anything to help Justin out,” the insider explained.
After Gomez and Bieber first rekindled their romance at the end of October 2017, the couple was spotted frequently around Los Angeles. Then, as their relationship continued, the couple seemed to become more private. Recently, they've only been seen out and about with one another a handful of times.
Most recently, Gomez and Bieber were seen enjoying one another's company during a Bible study in Los Angeles before attending one of Bieber's ice hockey games together.
Before rekindling her past romance with Bieber months ago, Gomez appeared to be completely content and happy with her former boyfriend The Weeknd. In fact, just one month before she was spotted out with Bieber for the first time in years, she and The Weeknd reportedly moved into a New York City home together.
