Amy Schumer Is Married, Secretly Weds Boyfriend Chris Fischer
Comedienne and actress Amy Schumer is a married woman! The 36-year-old actress secretly wed her boyfriend, Chef Chris Fischer, in a surprise and intimate ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in Malibu.
After attending the celebration of Ellen DeGeneres's 60th birthday, Schumer and Fischer surprised their family and friends with a wedding ceremony by the beach in a rented house. A strict "no photos" policy was enforced and a comedian officiated the ceremony.
Reportedly in attendance were Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, Larry David, Olivia Munn, James Corden, Jennifer Lopez, David Spade, and Judd Apatow.
Sources close to the actress have stated that Schumer is happy and in love with the 37-year-old chef.
"It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute, most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday from a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday. It was like, 'Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.' People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time," an insider stated.
The couple confirmed their relationship after being spotted having dinner in New York City.
Fischer lives on Beetleburg farm in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts where his family has resided since 1961. The chef's cookbook that was published in 2015 was received by fans and critics and won the James Beard Award. Fischer's restaurant, Beach Plum, is a favorite of former President and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama.
Schumer is best known for her role in the film Trainwreck, in which the actress has received widespread acclaim. The actress has since starred in the film Snatched opposite Goldie Hawn and Thank You For Your Service. Schumer is slated to appear in the film I Feel Pretty, which will be released in April 2018.
Schumer was previously in a long-term relationship with furniture designer Ben Hanisch from 2015 to 2017.
