Celebrity Hairstylist Riawna Capri On Doing Amy Schumer's Hair On Her Wedding: It's 'One Of The Greatest Honors'
Amy Schumer went for a breezy, effortless look on her surprise seaside wedding and celebrity stylist Riawna Capri played a big part in it.
Face it, most eyes are on the bride in any wedding. Just as important as the wedding gown is the hair and makeup of the bride, and the experts who took charge of Schumer's face did a wonderful job on her special wedding to chef Chris Fischer.
A Great Hair Day
Capri took to Instagram to express how much the opportunity means to her. In the image, the hairstylist posed with the blushing bride and Georgie Eisdell, the makeup artist.

For Schumer's bridal look, Capri went for a dreamy, romantic style with the comic's blonde wavy locks swept in a simple ponytail and a few wisps down framing her face. The hairstyle worked perfectly with the polished makeup by Eisdell.
Some of Capri's other celebrity clients include Kate Hudson, Nina Dobrev, and Julianne Hough.
The renowned hairstylist of the Nine Zero One Salon also took charge of Hough's hair during her wedding to Brooks Laich. For Hough's bridal look, Capri draws inspiration from the dancer's natural blonde waves. She was with Hough personally from prep-time to the big day.
"I know a lot of people have one stylist cutting and one coloring," Capri tells Modern Salon. "But to me, that's like one artist drawing the picture and the other artist coloring in the picture. I want to create the whole, entire art piece. I want to create the whole masterpiece."

Laidback and effortless, Schumer's hair and makeup were completely in tune with what the bride looked for in her wedding gown.
"She wanted it to be easy, she wanted to feel like herself and she wanted to have a great time and a great experience while wearing it," Schumer's longtime stylist Leesa Evans tells People in an interview, explaining that the bride wanted an effortless and comfortable dress.
The stylist adds that Schumer gave her just four days to prep before the wedding, so the two of them had to find the right dress quickly. Luckily, the 36-year-old bride fell in love with the very first one she tried on: a Monique Lhuillier creation.
The romantic lace and tulle gown retails at just $5,500, which is quite cheap for an A-list celebrity. And any bride can look like Schumer at their wedding as the Monique Lhuillier design is actually available at Nordstrom.
Schumer and Fischer got married in a beautiful coastal home in Malibu, California. Only 80 guests witnessed the intimate ceremony. Some of the celebrity guests who were present at the wedding include Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jennifer Lawrence.
