Chris Brown's Birthday Shout-Out To Rihanna Isn't The Only One That Got Our Attention
Chris Brown has made waves on social media when he gave his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, a shout-out for her birthday Tuesday. He isn’t the only one who got attention for his post, however.
Ciara's Message For Rihanna
Singer Ciara also took to social media to celebrate Rihanna bringing in the big 30.
Considering Ciara and Rihanna’s feud started after Ciara had made comments on the first time they met, her tweet is a cryptic one. This really wouldn’t have been a big deal if the two did not have a huge feud on Twitter years ago.
Ciara And Rihanna's Feud Resurfaces
It started during Ciara’s appearance on E!’s Fashion Police in 2011. Ciara spoke on her encounter with Rihanna and said she “wasn’t the nicest” when they met.
Fans might remember that during those days, Rihanna had no problem clapping back at fans or other celebrities on Twitter. Ciara was no different.
"My bad Ci, did I forget to tip you?” wrote Rihanna on the social media site.
Things went left, even more, when Ciara did an interview with wild 94.9 and called out Rihanna once again.
“I don’t have beef with anybody, but I’m not going to be disrespected either,” said Ciara. “I wish her well.”
Still, that didn’t stop her from saying a few other choice words about Rihanna.
“I don’t know what her problem is. I think she’s nuts right now, like, whatever’s going on, because for me, it doesn’t make any sense,” added Ciara. “She has a lot of good things going on with herself. A lot of good things I’ve always said I’ve been happy for her. I don’t get it. I really don’t, but I wish her well. I wish her positivity.”
She also headed to Twitter to say even more about Rihanna.
How Did We Forget About This?
It didn’t take long for Rihanna to hop on Twitter and come for Ciara. She thanked her for the promo and implied Ciara had nothing else going on, so they could only ask her about her feud with Rihanna.
Ciara challenged Rihanna and told her she doesn’t want to see her on or off stage. Considering Rihanna was selling out arenas at the time, the "Umbrella" singer wished Ciara “good luck” when it came to actually booking a stage.
While their feud made headlines, their quick makeup didn’t get nearly as much attention. Rihanna tweeted shortly after that Ciara “hurt [her] feelings” when she made the comment about her on the E! show.
Fans Are Here For Ciara's Tweet
Rihanna has yet to respond to Ciara’s birthday wish. In the meantime, fans have their own reactions.
