Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead Are Still Dating Despite Rumors Of Reconciliation With Ex-Wife
Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are still dating despite recent reports that claim they are no longer together and that the Trainspotting actor is back with his ex-wife Eve Mavrakis.
Going Strong
McGregor and Winstead are very much still together and going strong despite a UK tabloid reporting otherwise. The Fargo costars are still a couple and have not gone their separate ways. The Star Wars actor has not gone back to his ex-wife contrary to what the tabloid claimed.
Winstead and McGregor confirmed their relationship with a public appearance in November 2017. The pair was photographed holding hands during a walk in Los Angeles. A month prior to the outing, several people saw them share an intimate kiss during a dinner date at The Good Life Eatery in the posh neighborhood of West London's St. John's Wood.
Eyewitnesses said the pair sat side-by-side at the café for more than an hour where they engaged in a deep conversation. Photos show Winstead caress McGregor's cheek at one point. Another photo shows the pair in a passionate kiss before they left the eatery together on the actor's motorbike.
"Ewan and Mary Elizabeth were there together and seemed relaxed in each other's company. As they left she got on to the back of Ewan's motorbike and they sped off together," a source told The Sun. The pair also spent quality time together earlier in October at a hotel and spa in the English countryside.
Divorce
In the same month, the Moulin Rouge actor announced that he and his wife Mavrakis have called it quits after 22 years of marriage. A family source revealed that they have been living separately since May. Coincidentally, Winstead also split from her husband Riley Stearns in the same month. They were together for seven years.
McGregor then filed for divorce in January 2018 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The actor called the divorce "disappointing and upsetting" but wants to make sure his kids are okay. He wants to focus his priority on their children.
Mavrakis and McGregor share four kids.The actor is seeking for physical and legal custody of three of the minor children Jamyan, 16, Esther, 16, and Anouk, 6. He has also agreed to pay spousal support.
Winstead plays Nikki Swango, the love interest of McGregor's Emmit or Ray Stussy in the FX series Fargo. Interestingly, Mavrakis was also a former costar before she married the Golden Globe winner. She met McGregor on the set of the British crime series Kavanagh QC in 1995.
