Justin Theroux Doesn't Care What Other People Think Of Him: 'I Don't Lose Any Sleep Over It'
Unlike Jennifer Aniston who is worried about her image and people's perception, Justin Theroux is not caring about other people's thoughts on him.
The 46-year-old The Leftovers star has learned over the past years not to stress with how the people see him, this he revealed in an interview with the Mastermind magazine. Apparently, Theroux sleeps soundly at night, even with all the controversies surrounding him are up in the air.
"Well, that avatar is not me. I've stopped caring about what other people think of me. It's also minimized over the years," the ex of Aniston said.
Theroux also explained that he does not have any obligation to disclose anything to people. His focus, he added, was to keep on working, and so if, by instance, someone questions him about personal matters, he'd just say, "And you know, I'm sorry, but I really don't."
Split Statement
Interestingly, it is not the same for Aniston, who, according to sources, have had a hard time keeping things discreet. It can be remembered that the power couple announced their shocking decision, ironically, a day after Valentine's Day through a joint statement publicized by Stephen Huvane.
Sources said Aniston and Theroux met on Feb. 14 to talk about the announcement and finally did the next day. Prior to this, there had been rumors circulating since last year that their relationship was on the rocks. These came after the Along Came Polly actress was oftentimes seen in their Los Angeles home while the Mulholland Drive actor had spent most of his time in New York City.
Also, notably, Aniston spent her birthday on Feb. 11 with close friends, including Friends costar Courteney Cox, Kristin Hahn, Leigh Kilton-Smith, and Andrea Bendewald. Sources noted that the ex of Brad Pitt tried to keep her birthday out of the spotlight so the media would not feed on Theroux's absence on her special day.
"We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship," the statement read.
Additionally, the former couple said that the statement was to avoid confusion and gossips. Theroux and Aniston further asked people to respect their privacy.
Aniston initially wanted to keep things personal, as she had been careful about her image and what the split could do to her career. However, the opposite seemed to be happening, with it becoming a media frenzy.
