Jackie Chan addressed rumors of his death first-hand on Facebook on June 21.

A page called "R.I.P. Jackie Chan" was created on Facebook last week with the post: "At about 11am on Wednesday, our beloved actor Jackie Chan passed away. Jackie Chan was born on April 7, 1954 in Hong Kong. He will be missed but not forgotten."

The actor took to Facebook with a picture of him pointing to a newspaper with the June 21 date. He also typed a message to reassure the public that he is not in fact dead.

"Hi everybody! Yesterday, I got on a 3am flight from India to Beijing. I didn't get a chance to sleep and even had to clean my house when I got home," Chan wrote. "Today, everybody called to congratulate me on my rumoured engagement. Afterward, everybody called me to see if I was alive. If I died, I would probably tell the world! I took a photo with today's date, just in case you don't believe me! However, thank you all for your concern. Kiss kiss and love you all!"

Chan had just returned from the Chinese Film Festival inauguration in New Delhi, India. He revealed at one of the festival's panels that he has never played the "bad guy" in movies because his audience is primarily young kids, who he doesn't want to have a bad influence on.

His next film is Police Story 2013, which is another action film despite previously promising that he would not do any more. "Maybe I will announce again that this would be my last major action film," Chan said in a Tuesday report from Channel NewsAsia, "But what if people still approach me to do big action films? I think I will probably still do it."

The 59-year-old actor quipped, "Why is it that no director comes to me for romance films?"

Police Story 2013 will be released in China on Dec. 24. There isn't a release date scheduled for the U.S.
