'It's A Family First Tour': How OTR II Will Help Beyonce And Jay-Z's Marriage
Fans rejoice when it was confirmed that Beyonce and Jay-Z are going on tour together this summer, after a false start earlier this month.
Reports have suggested the series of shows during On The Run II or OTR II will improve the couple’s marriage after they went through very public marital woes.
Why The Tour Is A Good Idea
Beyonce first revealed she had to deal with Jay-Z’s infidelity in her 2015 album Lemonade. Jay-Z confirmed the news and admitted to his own transgressions as he rapped about how the two worked through their marriage in his album 4:44 that was released last summer.
Now, they are joining forces to tour for the second time together. Word is it will make their marriage even better than before.
An insider said both Beyonce and Jay-Z are ready for the tour because they’ll be able to spend more time together than usual considering both of their careers keep them busy.
“It’ll be nice not having to call each other or FaceTime each other when they will be sharing a tour bus together instead,” said the source. “It’s clearly a family first tour, so they are excited for it all to unfold and want to have as much fun as possible.”
Bey And Jay Are Ready For This
While Jay-Z went on tour to promote his 4:44 album, it will be Beyonce’s first tour since the couple welcomed twins Rumi and Sir this past July, just a week after Jay-Z released his album. They are also parents to daughter Blue Ivy, 6.
Still, despite being hands-on with Blue Ivy and the twins, it’s safe to say Beyonce will be prepared for the series of shows that will kick off on June 6 in the United Kingdom.
She has already revealed she’s going Vegan for her Coachella performance slated for next month. She is also reportedly working out multiple times a day to keep her physique intact.
Their 2018 Collaborations So Far
Beyonce and Jay-Z have already started working together this year, as they both had verses in DJ Khaled’s Top Off, which was released earlier this month. Interestingly enough, this time, they decided to steer clear of discussing their marriage and opted for bringing more social and racial issues like rapper Meek Mill’s jail time and George Zimmerman to light.
Still, Jay-Z couldn’t help but reference Blue Ivy’s big personality and star power when he rapped that he and his daughter were “having a sing-off.”
