Wedding Bells For J. Lo And A-Rod? Singer Says She Still Believes In Marriage But 'Not Forcing Anything'
Jennifer Lopez hasn’t given up on being on a wife one day. The singer and actress said she still hopes to say "I do" once again after being previously married three times.
Jennifer Lopez Has Hope For Love
Lopez, who once tied the knot with Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and most recently Marc Anthony, said she’s all for marrying again.
“I do believe in marriage, and I would love to grow old with somebody in a committed relationship,” said Lopez in the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “But I’m not forcing anything right now.”
For now, she and her boyfriend of more than a year, Alex Rodriguez, are still going strong, and spend major moments together. Their serious relationship has caused them to even blend their families together as Lopez is a mother to twins Max and Emme, 10, with Anthony, and Rodriguez is a father to Natasha, 13, and Ella, 9, from his previous marriage to Cynthia Scurtis.
She said she and Rodriguez have a special understanding about one another as they both became famous at a young age and were catapulted into success shortly after. Rodriguez, a retired MLB all-star who is still hitting the diamond, also gushed about his romance with Lopez previously and said that they're so similar, they could be twins.
“That affects every dynamic in your life, from your family to your work relationships,” said Lopez.
Interestingly enough, Lopez and Anthony are still on good terms in the public eye despite their marriage coming to an end. The two even raised $35 million to help the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in Puerto Rico last year.
Singer Reveals Her Encounter With Sexual Misconduct
Lopez also opened up about the ugly side of Hollywood that has been getting more attention than ever recently. She said she too was once told to expose her breasts to a Hollywood director but she refused to do it.
“When I did speak up, I was terrified,” explained Lopez. “I remember my hearting beating out of my chest, thinking, ‘What did I do? This man is hiring me! It was one of m first movies. But in my mind I knew the behavior wasn’t right.”
J. Lo Is Here To Stay
Despite negative experiences and having a thriving love life, Lopez made it clear her career won’t be on the decline anytime soon as she's still signing on to new acting gigs, singing, and more. She reminded readers that she’s still Jenny from the block and given her attitude that she always has as a Bronx native, she won’t slow down until she has accomplished even more major moves.
