I Am Not My Hair: Tamar Braxton Debuts Shaved Head On Instagram
Tamar Braxton took the phrase "new year, new me" to a new level. The reality star and Grammy-nominated singer posted a snapshot of her latest hairstyle on social media.
No Hair, Don't Care
Braxton received lots of support from her fans when she revealed that she shaved off her hair. She explained in the caption that she did it because weaves, wigs, and extensions were taking over her and she felt a slave to them as well as other things that have attempted to dominate her life.

She shared a video of a hairstylist shaving off the final pieces just minutes before. She stated in the caption that the new change made her feel liberated.
Feeling Free After The Drama?
Braxton’s shocking new look came months after her personal life was made very public. She filed for divorce from her husband Vincent Herbert in October. Since then, her mother accused Herbert of being physically abusive toward Braxton.
Things took an even uglier turn when Braxton said Herbert got another woman pregnant amid their marital woes. The drama seemed to calm down after Braxton deleted her Instagram page for a few weeks. Since being back, she’s promoted love, positivity, and let fans know she wouldn’t be blasting the drama between her and Herbert on social media anymore.

Meanwhile, fans accused Braxton of faking it all for the cameras. Braxton and Herbert star in two reality TV shows on WeTV together: Braxton Family Values and its spinoff, Tamar & Vince.
Braxton shut down the speculation.
“I wish I could say a lot of times it’s made up, just so I can hide behind the truth,” said Braxton when she guest co-hosted The View last month. “But in this situation, I absolutely have no reason to lie about my marriage or the things that are happening in my marriage for ratings. I think that’s disgusting and I would never sell my soul to the devil like that.”
She said her and Herbert’s issues were not any different than struggles that the everyday marriage faces. She said she decided to file for divorce because she didn’t think there was anything else she could do to fix her marriage.
She added that they are in “extensive counseling” but still do not live together. Herbert also made an appearance on the segment and denied harming Braxton in any way.
They both agreed their key focus is their son, Logan, 4.
