Carrie Underwood is not getting over her November 2017 fall anytime soon. An insider revealed that the accident has mentally scarred her.

The Scary Nightmares

The 35-year-old singer has been having a tough time recovering from her November 2017 fall. A plant inside of the Underwood camp has stated that she has lost sleep over her physical appearance and is even scared to return to the public eye.

"Carrie has been having nightmares. She hates looking in the mirror. It was an emotional roller coaster for her. She's felt like she was losing it. She's a total wreck," said the insider to Star Magazine.

However, the plant stated that she is using the mystery surrounding her appearance to her advantage. The insider believes that still hopes that her fans could be patient for her to reveal her face.

"She's has been so secretive. It's turned into this huge guessing game. There's so much intrigue," said the insider to Star Magazine in a statement picked up by Hollywood Life.

Carrie's First Public Appearance

All eyes will be on Underwood this June. The seven-time Grammy-winning singer was invited to participate at the Country Music Association's CMA Fest. The Nashville-based festival will take place from June 6 to June 10. Underwood will join a plethora of artists such as Cassadee Pope, Dan + Shay, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton as they entertain countless country music fans. It is expected that the "Before He Cheats" singer will make her public comeback at this event.

The 'American Idol' Return

Underwood's provided a dramatic voice-over for the opening of the resurrected singing competition when it aired its first episode on March 11. The "Two Black Cadillacs" spoke in her moving voice-over that talked about the American dream and how that a new generation of artists was ready to fight for the show's Golden Ticket to Hollywood. As Underwood spoke, fans saw the show's new judges, Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie in action, as they were listening to hopefuls.

Husband And Wife Selfie

On Feb. 23, Underwood returned to Instagram with her husband, Mike Fisher, in tow. Both Underwood and Fisher were promoting the End It Movement. Underwood had a bright red X on her mouth, while the Nashville Predators player had a red X on his fist. They encouraged others to join them shine a light to modern day slavery. The post also followed Fisher shutting down the constant rumors that he and Underwood were going to divorce. Fisher has been loyal to his wife as she needed 40 stitches to her face following her nasty fall in November 2017.
