Kanye West Trump Supporter: Fans Go Off On Rapper For Backing The President
Kanye West has made it clear he’s Team Donald Trump. Fans have also made it clear they are not here for the rapper endorsing the controversial President.
Fans and critics of the rapper headed to Twitter to share their thoughts. One pointed out West’s support for Trump is definitely a different tune than when he called out former President George Bush.
“We live in a world where Kanye thinks George W. Bush hates black people, but Donald J. Trump is an alright guy,” wrote the fan.
Another called out West for not speaking up for police brutality against the African American community. The fan said West also says something when he wants his fans to purchase his merchandise.
One added that West backed Trump as well as conservative commentator Candace Owens.
“This woman is anti-black, anti-reform, conservative and anti-LGBT… What else does he have to do Kanye stans??”
Another stated that fans couldn’t blame West’s marriage to Kim Kardashian West for his comments. They pointed out that Kardashian voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential election.
“No woman is responsible for [his] clownery,” added the fan.
Another added that they were debating if they should support one of West’s artists, Teyana Taylor, who has a new project coming out soon.
One joked that West is responsible for Trump’s Twitter account.
Another compared West to his alleged arch nemesis, Taylor Swift, who often gets backlash as well.
One tried to convince West to change his mind about Trump.
Fans’ reactions to West come just after radio host Ebro Darden revealed a conversation he had with West over the weekend. Darden said that West told him “I do love Donald Trump.” He also confirmed that West still backs the President after he had sparked controversy with support for Trump back in 2016.
West also reportedly criticized former President Barack Obama during his conversation with Darden.
Darden’s co-host, Rosenberg, also chimed in when Darden explained his conversation with West Monday. Rosenberg said fans shouldn’t wait for West to apologize for his Trump supporter status anytime soon.
Interestingly enough, West also revealed to Darden that he was addicted to opioids. West’s comments come on the tail of him announcing a handful of new albums that he is producing, including his own, which are slated for release this summer.
West also rejoined Twitter recently after taking a major hiatus.
