New details have emerged since news broke about the shocking death of Glee's Cory Monteith. His girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele has asked for privacy, with friends now revealing she was "shaking" when she heard about her beau's death.
"She is devastated," a friend told the Daily News. "She was shaking when she heard the news."
Her rep later sent out a statement, saying, "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time."
He was found dead in a hotel room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, Canada, after he missed his noon checkout time on Saturday.

"When he missed his check-out time, staff went to the room at noon and found his body," said Police Chief Doug LePard.
Monteith had recently finished a stint in rehab for substance abuse, after previously seeking help for addiction at age 19.
Monteith's untimely death shocked FOX. "We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person," FOX said in a statement on behalf of the network. "He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones."

Monteith had seemed to have turned a corner recently, emerging from rehab and appearing last month with longtime girfriend Michele at a charity ball.
Officials said no cause of death was apparent, but said Monteith had been dead for several hours before his body was discovered. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
