George Clooney, known for being a ladies' man, apparently isn't good enough for actress Eva Longoria.

According to Us Weekly, the 52-year-old actor was trying to pursue longtime friend Longoria while dating Stacy Keibler, but she wasn't interested.

The magazine claims the blossoming friendship started in March when the two Hollywood stars were both in Germany filming movies. They reportedly met up at private members' club Soho House in Berlin, "but did not hook up," the insider revealed.

After that rendezvous, "George began pursuing Eva," the source added. "He told her that he was still with Stacy but had plans to break up with her and was interested in being with Eva."

The 38-year-old actress reportedly didn't want to date Clooney until he broke up with Keibler.

Even though Clooney "continued to pursue her with texts and calls, Eva make it clear to him that she would not date or be with him until he was completely single."

Although Clooney is now single following his split with Keibler earlier this month, Longoria is seeing someone else. The Desperate Housewives star is now dating Ernesto Arguello, 34, from NBC's cancelled dating show, Ready for Love, in which Longoria was the producer.

"I think that's why our relationship is so special - we truly started as friends," Longoria exclusively told People, confirming their relationship the beginning of July.

After hearing the recent Clooney rumors, Longoria took to Twitter to share her side of the story. "As interesting as the George Clooney rumors are, they aren't true. George and I have been friends for years," she tweeted.
