Justin Bieber added to the hype surrounding the upcoming movie The Butler when he tweeted his admiration for the film to one of its stars--Oprah Winfrey.

"@Oprah gotta show u some love for your upcoming movie #TheButler . Looks good," the Canadian pop star wrote on Twitter.

The post has been re-tweeted by some 11,000 Twitter users at the time of press, with many fans expressing their desire to see the historical epic. The Butler features Oprah Winfrey as well as a star-studded cast, including Forest Whitaker, Live Schreiber, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Terrance Howard and Robin Williams. Musicians Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz also appear in the film.

The movie doesn't open in theatres until Aug. 16, but it's already receiving an Oscar buzz, with many speculating Winfrey could win her first Oscar for her role in the film. Despite her revered roles in critically acclaimed movies such as The Color Purple and Beloved, the talk show host hasn never won the coveted golden statue.

Bieber appeared on Winfrey's Oprah's Next Chapter on Nov. 25, 2012 and seemed to hit it off with the media titan. They discussed the 19-year-old's relationship with Selena Gomez and Oprah got behind-the-scenes access to his sold-out concert at Chicago's Allstate Arena.

At the time of the interview, Bieber's image was still relatively wholesome, however, in the months following his appearance, the pop star has been portrayed unfavorably in the media. He's been linked to marijuana use, accused of speeding and spitting in a man's face and assaulting a paparazzo to name a few.
