Amanda Bynes Hospitalized After Allegedly Trespassing Following Ritz Hotel Incident
Amanda Bynes has reportedly been hospitalized on a 5150 hold after starting a small fire and trespessing onto a retirement home, TMZ reported Tuesday.
A 5150 hold is an involuntary hospitalization for mental evaluation. She can only be held for 72 hours.
Bynes' troubles began on Sunday night when she was reportedly trying to get into an old folks home in Los Angeles to "visit a relative" but was denied access because she appeared drunk, according to the website.
After accusing her of trespassing, the retirement community located in Thousand Oaks called a cab for the 27-year-old actress due to her state of drunkenness. "Get me the f**k out of here," Bynes allegedly told the cab driver. "I don't have any money."
Of course, the taxi driver kicked her out. Once management saw Bynes attempting to re-enter the community, they called police enforcement. Bynes, however, didn't get arrested.
Then on Monday, the fire department arrived at a home in Thousand Oaks, CA and called the sheriff's department after finding Bynes standing in the driveway next to the campfire. After speaking with her, law enforcement determined she needed to be hospitalized on a 5150 hold.
News of her L.A. incident broke right after she was ejected from the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in NYC on July 18. Sources claimed she was a "nightmare," smoked weed in her room every day and called the front desk girl "ugly."
Over the July 13th weekend, the Easy A actress seemed like she was becoming a little nicer to people around her. While at Revel's Bask by Exhale Spa in Atlantic City, NJ., Bynes was "polite to the entire staff," a source told New York Post. "Her appointment went off without a hitch."
Bynes was also spotted being friendly with strangers while relaxing in the hotel's jacuzzi. The blonde-wigged actress even allowed guests surrounding her in the hot tub to pose with her. But, they were only allowed to save the photos she approved of.
Bynes, who usually responds to stories via Twitter, has not tweeted anything since July 19.
