Cameron Diaz signed on to be an artistic director of the accessories line from luxury French brand Pour La Victoire, Women's Wear Daily reported Monday.

"Pour La Victoire gives me the opportunity to create something timeless," Diaz said about signing on. "There's a lot I have to learn about the business. I'm interested in learning how collections are created...I want to say that it's going to be fun, but it's deeper than that."

The 40-year-old actress, who also endorses watchmaker Tag Heuer, will be a stakeholder for the company. She said she does not typically do endorsements but that working with the accessories line is different.

"Being influential in a brand and in its [advertising] campaigns interests me. I love fashion. It's a large part of my life," Diaz told the fashion magazine.

About a year ago, Diaz made her first visit to the company's showroom after being invited by Dave Baram, a PLV board member and friend. As the artistic director, she will have a say in the brand's handbag and shoe collections in addition to merchandising, marketing and advertising plans.

"I live in heels 10 hours of the day," she said about her fashion experience. "I know comfort in shoes. There are some shoes you would die to wear but they are painful."

The Bad Teacher actress has already started her work with the brand, overseeing the Pour La Victoire fall campaign shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson. Even though Diaz doesn't plan on becoming the face of the brand, she will carry her own fall and holiday campaign called Cameron's Picks, which will be featured on the company's online platforms.

Her first collection will hit the market this spring. In the meantime, she is currently filming The Other Woman in the Bahamas with co-stars Kate Upton and Leslie Mann. Diaz and will next appear on-screen in November 2013 in The Counselor.
