Amanda Bynes’ Parents Denied Conservatorship, Legal Docs Explain Daughter is ‘Paranoid’ [REPORT]
On Friday, Amanda Bynes' parents went to court, hoping to get temporary conservatorship, but Judge Glen Reiser denied the petition. Ventura County Superior Court Judge stated that, because the actress is currently under a 14-day psychiatric hold after a reported driveway-burning incident, an emergency decision wasn't necessary.
Bynes' parents, Lynn and Rick, filed legal documents, which started why they were seeking the conservatorship.
According to TMZ who obtained the documents, her parents stress Bynes' disconnect from reality.
"We are deeply concerned that Amanda poses a substantial risk to herself, to others and to property based on recent events in her life," they stated in the declaration, according to E! News.

First, they claimed Amanda has become "extremely paranoid about being watched" and as a result, has taped her windows shut and even covered smoke alarms to prevent being snapped by the paparazzi.
Then, they wrote how their daughter might be in financial trouble given that her $3.3 million in assets has been quickly dwindling down.
"We are informed and believe that a substantial amount of money is being used to pay for marijuana and other illegal substances," the declaration added.
Finally, her parents claimed she talks a lot about wanting cosmetic surgery and even has told her mom to get work done.
"Amanda has profound issues with her body image and is obsessed with the idea that she (and others) are ugly," they wrote. "Amanda has verbally assaulted several people, including family members through her verified Twitter account."

When Bynes arrived to California on July 20, the parents weren't sure how their daughter got there from New York.
The parents and Amanda herself will be appearing in court on August 9, following Bynes' two week hold, to review the temporary conservatorship for the second time. The judge demanded he wants a "one-on-one" with Amanda, he wants to hear from her doctors, see the police file from the driveway fire incident and wants Amanda's lawyer to interview her and "come up with a recommendation."
Following news of the psychiatric extension, TMZ also reported that Bynes' lawyer filed legal documents asking for an emergency hearing. It seems that Amanda wants to get out of the ward and is not for staying an extra two weeks even though the doctors are determined she is suffering from a severe mental illness "with schizophrenic tendencies." The hearing will be at 5 p.m. EST on Friday.
