'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Fate Still in Limbo: Creator Larry David Says, 'Ask Me Again in Six Months'
Curb Your Enthusiasm actor and creator Larry David is still unsure if the HBO hit show will be back for another season.
The comedian spoke at a press tour of the Television Critics Association where he admitted that Curb's future is still up in the air and that no decision has been made about the show's fate, Metro reported on July 26.
"I don't know, I really don't know," David said when asked about whether or not fans could expect the show back. "I couldn't say. Ask me again in six months."
The creator added, "I'm just an indecisive fellow. You should see me at a restaurant! It's a big decision to do a season of that show. I don't take it lightly."
Metro also reported that David, who created the classic TV show Seinfeld, revealed he passed on the opportunity to make a ninth season of Curb last year. Instead the comedian decided to star in the HBO movie Clear History, with co-star Jon Hamm, from Mad Men.
"I was thinking about Curb or thinking about doing a movie and I thought, you know, perhaps it's time I try something else, so I decided to do the movie," David said.
The HBO show has made headlines recently when actor Jeff Garlin was arrested July 20 for allegedly vandalizing a woman's car over a parking spot dispute.
The charges were later dropped, but Garlin is being sued by the woman, whose causes of action are assault, intentional destruction of personal property and intentional infliction of emotional distress, Today.com reported on July 24.
