Whoppi Goldberg Denies Feud with View Co-Host Barbara Walters: Watch VIDEO of Tense On-Air Moment
Whoopi Goldberg denies allegations that she is feuding with The View co-host Barbara Walters over the royal baby.
Goldberg and Walters had a tense on-air moment July 23 when Goldberg said she didn't care about all the baby George Alexander Louis coverage.
"People are losing their minds!" Goldberg said. "Because I don't care."
"[People] may not care, but we're doing an hour special tonight," Walters said.
"A lot of people care," Goldberg said. "I don't care personally."
"I would really like to talk about tonight," Walters told the audience, about her 20/20 special. "Whoopi will not be watching, but we hope you will, and we hope there are a lot of people who give a da*n, because we've worked very hard on this."
It turns out, more people felt the same way as Goldberg, as audiences mostly tuned out the royal baby coverage across the networks, Mediabistro.com reported on July 24.
When the New York Daily News reported July 25 that Goldberg was ranting backstage about Walters, saying "I can't handle it anymore. I can't wait till she retires. I'm tired of her cutting me off," Goldberg was not happy.
The Sister Act actress told the Daily News when asked if the two were feuding, "No, honey...Dude, she hired me. It is a very good relationship."
Meanwhile, Goldberg is reportedly developing a show, Lounge, for NickMom, Hollywoodreporter.com said in a July 26 post.
The show will be a a talk/variety series for the Nick Jr.'s night-time comedy block especially for mothers.
Lounge will feature honest and funny conversations between regular moms who are given an opportunity to be spoiled, pampered and have their dreams come true.
