Paula Deen's son is following in his mother's steps on the Food Network while she continues to fight against the claims that got her kicked off the network.

Bobby Deen, Cooking Channel's Not My Mam's Meals host, allegedly entered the Iron Chef America battle this week.

His brother Jamie Deen tweeted July 23, "I'm thinking about my brother boy this morning. He's filming an episode of Iron Chef today! #pressure." The tweet was followed by much support for Bobby on social media, including support on the "We Support Paula Deen," Facebook page.

Eater.com reported in a July 24 post that a Food network source said Paula Deen will be returning to the network eventually.

"She'll be back in a year or two, under different terms," the source said. "Maybe some guest spots."

Paula Deen made headlines again early this week when a former employee claimed the star made racist comments towards her.

The New York Times reported on July 24 that Dora Charles, a chef at Deen's Savannah, Ga. restaurant Lady & Sons, said her former boss used racial slurs towards her and once asked her to wear an Aunt Jemima dress at the restaurant.

Deen's lawyers denied the allegations in a statement to the New York Times saying, "Fundamentally Dora's complaint is not about race but about money. It is about an employee that despite over 20 years of generosity feels that she still deserves yet even more financial support from Paula Deen." The document also stated, "provided guidance and support through the many ups and downs of Mrs. Charles's life."
