Teresa Giudice's Daughter Gia Vacations With Friends Amid Parent's Fraud Charges, 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Stars To Appear in Court August 14 [PHOTOS]
As Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice were indicted on federal charges of bank and bankruptcy fraud and appeared before a judge Tuesday morning, their 12-year-old daughter Gia seemed worlds away from the family drama.
The youngster, who has always been vocal on her Twitter, only tweeted about how great of a summer she's having.
"Summer~shore~beach~tan~ocean~pool~friends~family HAVE FUN IT'S SUMMER TIME," she tweeted Tuesday, after her parents were each released on $500,000 bail.
Hanging with her gal pals, she tweeted several photos of them swimming in a pool, noting that it was "#nationalbieberday."
Meanwhile, her parents, who star on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, were indicted Monday on federal fraud charges.
Joe Giudice Could Be Deported If Found Guilty of Fraud Charges
Teresa, 41, and her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, 43, were accused of exaggerating their income while applying for loans before their TV show debuted in 2009 -- then hiding how well they were doing in a bankruptcy filing after their first season aired.
They were charged in a 39-count indictment with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. If convicted, the Giudices -- parents to daughters Gia, 12, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3 -- face more than 50 years in prison.
Teresa released a statement through her lawyer soon after the news broke.
“Today is a most difficult day for our family," she said. "I support Joe and, as a wonderful husband and father, I know he wants only the best for our lovely daughters and me. I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career. As a result, I am hopeful that we will resolve this matter with the Government as quickly as possible."
'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Stars Teresa Giudice, Joe Giudice Each Released on $500,000 Bail Bonds
During Tuesday's court hearing, it was revealed that Joe is not a legal U.S. citizen. If Joe is found guilty, he could be deported to Italy.
Additionally, the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars must surrender their passports, and they are not allowed to leave New York or New Jersey until their next hearing, which is scheduled for Aug. 14.
