Anna Delvey Calls Out Rachel Williams After Latter Expresses Disappointment With Netflix Show; Embattled Socialite Shares SHOCKING Claims
Anna Delvey is not holding back with her claims after her former friend, Rachel Williams, expressed her true feelings over the hit Netflix series "Inventing Anna," which is based on their real lives during the embattled socialite's time in New York City, where she committed crimes.
Williams, whose character is played by Katie Lowes in the show, recently called out Netflix for the portrayal of Delvey, saying it's wrong to promote a "sociopathic, narcissistic, proven criminal."
More recently, Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, is taking to Instagram to express her true feelings over the recent events.
According to OK! Magazine, the socialite wrote a seven-part letter through her Instagram stories where she reacted and shared shocking claims about Williams.
Delvey began by saying she's been silent for years, but she has to speak out as Williams has "stubbornly move on from her contrived trauma" while accepting invitation interviews that will have her.
The embattled socialite noted that her former friend, who previously worked at Vanity Fair, cried for public attention and claimed that she ruined her life. Still, she forgot to "mention the curious period of time during summer of 2018."
Delvey claims that at the time, her literary agent was repeatedly harassing her lawyer Todd through email and phone, asking him if she was down to write a book together.
She added that she has "receipts" to prove her claims.
The self-proclaimed "German heiress" went on to slam the former photo editor for constantly talking and writing about her, reading and dissecting all of her interviews, as well as looking for things to "get outraged about."
Delvey then said the Netflix series captured her former friend's "total Karen image" as she constantly adjusts her "flexible moral standards" depending on the amount of money she'll earn.
"The audacity of her to still attempt to sell her white woman tears (that no one is buying) while continuing to shamelessly exploit her connection to me and profit off of her 'terrible trauma' is flabbergasting," she added.
In addition to her rant about Williams' attitude and claims, she also called out her book titled "My Friend Anna: The True Story of a Fake Heiress," which she claimed needed a "fact checker."
Delvey concluded her statement by writing," she won't be getting away with this blatant hypocrisy on my watch. Wherever I happen to be at."
At the time of this writing, Rachel Deloache Williams has not publicly responded on the matter.
In the series, which is based on real-life, Williams claimed that Delvey defrauded her by letting her use Vanity Fair's work credit card to pay a whopping $62,000 for their stay in Morocco, which the embattled socialite promised to pay when they got back to New York City.
